Kızıldağ Milli Parkı
Kızıldağ National Park, which takes its name from the Kızıldağ locality known for its blue cedar forests, is located in the Şarkikaraağaç district of Isparta. Declared in 1969, the park had its boundaries redefined in 2018 as 80,200 hectares. Natural forest areas woven with black pine, cedar, fir, juniper and oak species, rich vegetation and a traditional highland-pasture heritage are the main values that make the park worthy of protection; the region where the cedar forests stand is known as one of the areas with the richest oxygen value in the world. With elevations ranging from 1,900 to 2,400 meters, the park brings together a unique lake-forest-mountain landscape and endemic flora and fauna species. Pınargözü Cave, known as Turkey's longest cave and estimated to be more than 15 km long, together with the Çay Dere stream that flows out of it, and the Kubadabad Palace, Kız Kulesi and Kilise Adası on the islands are the park's outstanding natural and cultural treasures. The park has two day-use areas. Within the area at Şarkikaraağaç, 5 forest pavilions, a tent camping area, a country restaurant, a bakery and a small prayer room serve visitors.
