Kovada Gölü Milli Parkı
Lake Kovada and its surroundings, stretching within the boundaries of the Eğirdir and Sütçüler districts of Isparta, were declared a national park in 1970. Of the total area of 6,534 hectares, 790 hectares are lake surface. What makes the park special is the way its wildlife diversity, unique floral richness and natural resources come together in a flawless landscape unity. Along the easy and moderate hiking trails starting from the day-use area, there are panels introducing the flora and fauna, scenic viewpoints, a bird-watching tower and wooden piers. It is possible to sit on the benches on the wooden piers and listen to birdsong amid a feast of blue and green. These routes, where blue and green intertwine, welcome nature and photography enthusiasts in every season; it is a favorable area for bird and landscape photography. The park has a visitor information center, a cafeteria hut and toilets suitable for accessible use. In addition to a rare endemic plant, the Efe akşamyıldızı (Hesperis ozcelikii), the griffon vulture and the bearded vulture are among the area's notable species. Angling and boat trips on the lake are also possible.
