Serenler Tepesi Tabiat Parkı
Located only 5 km from the provincial center of Burdur, Serenler Tepesi Nature Park was declared a nature park in 2011 and spreads over an area of 38 hectares. With its proximity to the city and aesthetic scenery, it is a spot frequently preferred by the people of Burdur for recreation. The vegetation formed by trees such as kermes oak, juniper, black pine and cedar gives the park a rich appearance. Numerous bird species, from waterbirds to songbirds and diurnal and nocturnal raptors, as well as mammals such as hares, wild boars, wolves, jackals and foxes live in the region. With its natural footpaths and terrain suitable for activities, the park lends itself to day picnics, hiking, trekking, photo safaris and scenery watching. The park is reached via the Burdur-Acıpayam-Denizli highway route. It attracts intense interest especially in the spring and summer months.
