Sis Dağı Tabiat Parkı
Sisdağı Nature Park, located at the Üvezlialan locality in the Şalpazarı district of Trabzon, was declared a nature park in 2019 due to its biodiversity in need of protection and its unique landscape character. This small but rich 24-hectare area reflects the typical humid forest cover of the Eastern Black Sea. The park's flora consists of middle-aged and old forest trees. Oriental spruce, hornbeam, alder, oriental beech, chestnut and sessile oak are the dominant species in the area. The forest understory is adorned with purple- and yellow-flowered rhododendrons, cherry laurel, rowan and ferns. With walking routes and nature tours, the park offers a quiet forest getaway. Reached via the Black Sea Coastal Road, the park is 7 km from the Şalpazarı district center and 78 km from the Trabzon city center. The nearest airport is Trabzon Airport, 80 km away.
