Çalcamili Tabiat Parkı
Located at the Kafran-Taşüstü locality in Trabzon's Düzköy district, Çalcamili Nature Park was declared a nature park in 2011 due to its unique landscape character and biological diversity, and a subsequent boundary revision set its size at 8.8 hectares. With its pure spruce forests, vegetation creating a riot of color in varied patterns, and flat use areas, the park is a nature spot heavily visited both by locals and, in the summer months, by expatriates. Beneath the spruce trees, species such as purple- and yellow-flowered rhododendron, cyclamen, primrose, snowdrop and sage enrich the vegetation. The nearby Çal Cave and the surrounding highland settlements, together with a long-standing transhumance culture, lend the area a distinct character. The day-use areas are suitable for hiking, cave visits and scenic viewing. Düzköy district is 41 km from Trabzon's city center. The park is reached via the Black Sea Coastal Road (E-70); the nearest airport is Trabzon Airport, 47 km away.
