Yakamanastır Tabiat Parkı
Declared a nature park in 2011, the 88.5-hectare Yakamanastır Nature Park is located in Konya's Beyşehir district, about 6 km from the district center. With its commanding view over Lake Beyşehir; Turkey's largest freshwater lake; and its surroundings, it is an important resting and recreation area for domestic and foreign visitors. The entire site is covered with forest vegetation; black pine, fir, and juniper species form a mixed forest in the area. It hosts rich wildlife including hares, foxes, wolves, squirrels, and tortoises, as well as species such as partridges, storks, eagles, hawks, and kestrels. In the mountainous sections reaching 2,000 meters, the snowfinch and the chukar partridge are among the most common species. Hiking, mountain biking, and paragliding can be enjoyed amid the unique lake and forest scenery. Monumental tree spots, a forest pavilion, a fountain, a country restaurant, picnic units, and a children's playground meet visitors' needs. The park is located on the Beyşehir-Derebucak road. The park is open to visitors until 17:30 on weekdays and 18:00 on weekends. There is an entrance fee; daily pedestrian entry is 60 TL and car entry is 180 TL.
