Derebucak Çamlık Mağaraları Milli Parkı
Declared a national park in 2022, the 1,147-hectare Derebucak Çamlık Caves National Park is located in the town of Çamlık in the Derebucak district of Konya. The site's most striking feature is the 15 caves it contains within its boundaries; cave tourism therefore constitutes the park's main attraction. The park, where tree species such as juniper, cedar, fir, oak, black pine and wild pear grow naturally, has rich vegetation. Many endemic and rare species such as Kaya Dağarcığı, Kıyak Seyyahotu and Paşaçayı live in the area. The rugged terrain creates favorable habitats for wildlife: the globally threatened Wild Goat, the Woolly Dormouse, the land salamander, Taurus and Pamphylian lizards, as well as the brown hare, red squirrel, fox, wolf and wild boar are among these species. Alongside cave tours, with its tent camping area, nature walks and walking routes the park brings nature lovers together with its underground and aboveground beauties. The park is reached via a 9-kilometer road branching off at the 45th kilometer of the Beyşehir-Akseki road.
