Durasan Şah Tabiat Parkı
Declared a nature park in 2018, the 145.87-hectare Durasan Şah Nature Park is located in the Kahramankazan district of Ankara, at the Yazlık Sırtı locality of Tekke village. Sitting at an average altitude of 1,450 meters, the site has a gently rolling terrain formed of volcanic andesite and andesite tuffs, and contains wide clearings and flat areas. Its forest, dominated by black pine, juniper and oaks, is brightened by species such as the Ankara crocus, grape hyacinth, wild strawberry, rosehip and primrose. It offers a calm and spacious setting for hiking, cycling tours and nature excursions. Access is by private vehicle. The park is 55 km from Ankara and 10 km from the Kazan district; of the road coming from Kazan, 8 kilometers are asphalt and 2 kilometers are gravel.
