Göksu Tabiat Parkı (Bolu)
Located about 35 km from Bolu's Merkez district, at the Demirciler Yaylası locality, the 24.25-hectare Göksu Nature Park was registered as a recreation site in 1992 and declared a nature park in 2011. Despite its compact area, with a capacity of 150 tents it is one of Turkey's nature parks with the largest tent capacity. This dense overnight-stay infrastructure makes the park ideal for large group events such as institutional camps, scout groups and festivals. Flora studies have identified 86 families and 245 taxa, and endemic plant species, above all the Uludağ fir, have been recorded. The fauna includes reptiles such as snakes and lizards, along with various mammal and bird species. Visitors can stay overnight at the tent camping area; day-use recreation, hiking and open-air activities are the park's main pursuits. With a capacity of about 400 visitors and a 100-vehicle car park, it is suited to weekend traffic. Göksu, which can be combined with local spots such as Abant Gölü, Yedigöller and Beşpınarlar, is one of the principal camping destinations of Bolu's nature circuit.
