Kargalı Gölcük Tabiat Parkı
Kargalı Gölcük Nature Park, 18 km from the city center of Bolu, is a protected area of 156.5 hectares declared in 2014. Covered in dense forest on moist ground, the park is an easily accessible escape into nature thanks to its location close to the main transport routes. Despite its small scale, 174 plant taxa belonging to 50 families and 39 bird species have been identified in the area. Home to species such as the European roller, the park offers a peaceful wildlife setting with its dense, humid forest texture. A nature education center is located within the area. Convenient for recreation thanks to its proximity to the center and transport connections, the park allows activities such as nature walks, flora and fauna observation, scenic viewing and tent camping in a controlled manner. The park is reached via a dirt road branching off at the 10th kilometer of the asphalt road leading from the D-100 highway to Kartalkaya Ski Center. The park is open every day between 09:00 and 18:00. Entry is subject to a fee: pedestrian entry costs 60 TL per day and car entry 180 TL per day; the designated tent plots within the park (30 units) cost 60 TL per day. Facilities such as toilets, parking, fountains, a viewing terrace, campfire areas and firewood supply are available.
