Kabaardıç Tabiat Anıtı
Located at the Bayramyeri locality of the Meyilhacılar neighborhood in Ankara's Nallıhan district, the Kabaardıç Natural Monument was placed under protection in 2000. The juniper tree at the center of the monument is estimated to be 750 years old and is remarkable for its 20-meter height, 2.80-meter trunk diameter and 9-meter circumference. With its forked trunk, it shows extreme development in the typical Central Anatolian climate. Impressing visitors with its aesthetic and cultural value as well as its scientific importance, this old juniper is a subject of cultural excursions. Its surroundings have been prepared with landscaping and equipped with information signs. The area is reached by private vehicle by turning onto the Meyilhacılar neighborhood road at kilometer 18 of the Nallıhan-Eskişehir Sarıcakaya asphalt road. After following this road for about 3 km, one turns onto the Aliefe neighborhood road and follows the signs to reach the monument.
