Koca Sedir Tabiat Anıtı
Declared a natural monument in 2002, Koca Sedir is a magnificent monumental tree located in Göltarla mahallesi in the Elmalı district of Antalya. Covering a small area of 0.25 hectares, this giant cedar is, at approximately 900 years of age, one of the most deep-rooted trees in the region. Impressive with its height of 32.5 meters and trunk diameter of 2.29 meters, the tree is a unique natural heritage with its age and extraordinary growth. Since the Cedar Research Forest in which it stands is reserved solely for scientific research, the area has the character of a protected ecosystem. This centuries-old monumental tree can be seen by traveling by private vehicle from the district of Elmalı to Göltarla mahallesi, at the Alıçalanı locality.
