Kocakatran Lübnan Sediri Tabiat Anıtı
Declared a natural monument in 1995, the Kocakatran Lebanon Cedar is a magnificent monumental tree located within the boundaries of the Çığlıkara Nature Conservation Area in the Elmalı district of Antalya. Covering a small area of 0.25 hectares, this giant cedar is, at 720 years of age, one of the oldest trees in the region. Striking with its height of 26 meters and trunk diameter of 2.80 meters, the tree is a unique natural heritage with its age and extraordinary growth. Since the Çığlıkara Nature Conservation Area in which it stands is a sensitive ecosystem where cedar forests are protected, the site is open only to scientific research. This magnificent monumental tree can be seen by traveling by private vehicle from the district of Elmalı to Doğantaş mahallesi, at the Bölükkatran locality.
