Kuzuluk Tabiat Parkı
Declared in 2011 in Sakarya's Akyazı district, Kuzuluk Nature Park is a 42-hectare day-use nature area. In the natural forest cover formed by sessile oak, oriental beech and common hornbeam trees, the lower layers contain species such as wild plum, hawthorn, blackberry, rosehip and rhododendron. The park hosts mammals such as bears, roe deer, wildcats, martens, foxes and squirrels, as well as buzzards, falcons, sparrowhawks and various songbirds. Within the area there are fountains, a kiosk, gazebos, a prayer room, toilets, children's play sets and picnic units; it is suitable for hiking, photo safaris and picnicking. Kuzuluk Nature Park is on the Adapazarı-Mudurnu highway. The area is reached by following the Mudurnu road from the Akyazı junction of the Istanbul-Ankara highway; the nearest airport is Kocaeli Airport, 70 km away.
