Yunus Emre Tabiat Parkı
The 61.37-hectare Yunus Emre Nature Park in the Mihalıççık district of Eskişehir is a peaceful natural area covered by black pine forests, just 4 km from the town center. Mihalıççık lies 91 km west of Eskişehir. The park's principal tree species is black pine; alongside species such as trembling aspen and prickly juniper, hawthorn, rosehip, rowan and meadow grasses enrich the vegetation. Mammals such as wild boar, fox, hare, jackal, hedgehog and squirrel, and bird species such as falcon, sparrowhawk, buzzard, jay and stork can be observed in the region; with its tortoise and frog species it also offers a rich fauna. Well suited to hiking, cycling and day-trip recreation, the park is reached via the Eskişehir-Mihalıççık highway. From the center of Mihalıççık, Ömerköy Caddesi and then the Ömerköy pond road are followed; Ömerköy Mahallesi is about 1.71 km from the park, and there are numerous signposts along the way.
