Dede Menengici Tabiat Anıtı
Dede Menengici, located in the Menemen district of İzmir, is an old terebinth tree that was declared a nature monument in 2003. With an estimated age of 800 years, the tree represents the region's natural heritage with its magnificent structure that has survived from the past to the present. Reaching a height of approximately 9.5 meters and a diameter of 2.72 meters, the tree has a trunk circumference of 8.56 meters. Although some drying has been found to have begun in its crown branches over time, with its mighty trunk it presents visitors with an impressive natural monument bearing the traces of centuries.
