Tavşan Tepesi Tabiat Parkı
Located in Artvin's Şavşat district, right in the middle of natural scenic beauty, Tavşan Tepesi Nature Park is a protected area of about 5 hectares declared in 2017. Named after the hill on which it sits, the park stands out with its unspoiled natural structure and aesthetic landscape values. The dominant tree species are oak and juniper, and the area is also home to Scots pine, trembling aspen and maple, as well as hawthorn, cornelian cherry, rosehip and almond. The park, where species such as wild boar, wild hare, brown bear, lynx, roe deer and squirrel are observed, allows nature walks on forest trails. The day-use areas are suitable for picnicking and overnight stays; there is a hotel and a café-restaurant on site. It also offers a suitable setting for events such as countryside weddings, concerts and private receptions. The park is located 71 km from Artvin city center and only 1 km from the Şavşat district center, on the route to the City Hospital.
