Ayvatbendi Tabiat Parkı
One of the nine nature parks within Belgrad Forest, Ayvatbendi Nature Park is a 50-hectare protected area declared in 2011. Located in Istanbul's Eyüpsultan district, the park takes its name from the historic Ayvat Bendi, built on the Ayvat Stream in 1765 during the reign of Mustafa III. In this area with rich vegetation dominated by oak and hornbeam, species such as Kasnak oak, Oriental beech, Anatolian chestnut and rhododendron intertwine. In the cool air of Belgrad Forest, it is an ideal escape for nature hiking, cycling and nature tours. Easily reachable by public transport from both sides of Istanbul, the park is accessible via the Bahçeköy and Kemerburgaz routes.
