Kömürcübent Tabiat Parkı
Declared a nature park in 2011, Kömürcübent Nature Park is one of the nine nature parks located within the Belgrad Forest in Istanbul's Sarıyer district. It takes its name from Kömürcübent, the oldest dam of the Belgrad Forest, built on the Topuz Stream in 1620 by order of Osman II. Its area of approximately 2.90 hectares has a rich flora and fauna. Oak and hornbeam are the dominant tree species, with ash and alder also found along the stream banks. With its historic dam, forested texture and the adjacent Deer Breeding Area, the park is an ideal escape for nature walks and day trips. The area is reached by entering the Belgrad Forests from the Bahçeköy entrance and passing the Neşet Suyu and Falih Rıfkı Atay nature parks. After arriving in the Bahçeköy neighborhood by public transport, the park can be reached by taxi.
