Fatih Çeşmesi Tabiat Parkı
Declared in 2011, Fatih Çeşmesi Nature Park is one of the nine nature parks within the Belgrad Forest in Istanbul's Eyüpsultan district. It takes its name from its fountain, which local people visit especially in the summer months to fetch drinking water. Oak and hornbeam are the dominant tree species in the area of approximately 29.50 hectares. With rich vegetation including hornbeam, Anatolian chestnut, sessile oak, Kasnak oak, and Turkey oak, as well as species such as butcher's broom, blackberry, and cherry laurel, the park hosts the Belgrad Forest's mammal and bird fauna, with nearly 100 bird species along with deer, roe deer, wild boar, foxes, and woodpeckers. It offers an ideal setting for nature walks on the forest paths and for day-use relaxation. The area, very close to the Irmak and Kirazlıbent nature parks, can be reached via the Bahçeköy-Kemerburgaz road.
