Neşetsuyu Tabiat Parkı
Neşetsuyu Nature Park, one of the nine nature parks within Belgrad Forest in Istanbul's Sarıyer district, was declared in 2011. It takes its name from Müderris Neşet Bey, who served as rector of the Orman Mektebi Alisi, the predecessor of Istanbul University's Faculty of Forestry. With its 67 hectares, the park has a rich flora and fauna, dominated by oak and hornbeam trees. To its southwest rises Büyük Bent, part of the historic Kırkçeşme Water Supply Line; within the area there are also registered cultural assets such as the remains of a water cistern from Belgrad Village and the mihrab of an open-air prayer ground. The walking and cycling routes through the forest offer a pleasant day for those who want to escape the city and be alone with nature. The park lies within the boundaries of Belgrad Forest. Those arriving by car can reach it from the Kemerburgaz or Bahçeköy entrances by following the forest signs. Those wishing to come by public transport can take the 42 HM bus from Hacıosman metro station to Bahçeköy and continue from there to the park by taxi.
