Bolu Karagöl Tabiat Parkı
Karagöl Nature Park, notable for its elevation of over 1,400 meters within the Köroğlu Mountains range, covers an area of 35 hectares within the boundaries of Bolu's Kıbrıscık district. Registered as a recreation spot in 1976, the area was declared a nature park in 2011. About three quarters of the park consists of black pine forests, which produce their finest examples at this elevation; species such as oak, aspen, juniper and blackberry also accompany the forest. The combination of forest, stream and lake formations also hosts rich wildlife. Suitable for hiking, cycling tours, angling and picnics, the park also offers overnight options. The area contains a country restaurant, bungalows and glamping units. The Nature Park is adjacent to the highway connecting Bolu to Seben, Kıbrıscık and Beypazarı, and is reached from the city center by an entirely paved road of about 80 km.
